Support » Plugin: WP Mail Logging » Conflict with Paid Memberships Pro or a PMPro Add-On: Fatal Error

  • Hello,

We’re running WP Mail Logging latest version and Paid Memberships Pro on a client site. The webmaster reports a fatal error when updating a user’s Membership level (accessing the user’s record on via Users >> All Users >> clicking on user record – “Membership Level” is a field added by PMPro):

Fatal error: Call to a member function set_error() on a non-object in /home/content/25/10988425/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-logging/WPML_Plugin.php on line 189

The webmaster refreshes the page, and the update works normally.

When we turn off WP Mail Logging, the update works normally, so clearly a conflict.

    Help is appreciated,

This is not a incompatibility. The membership plugin probably sends an email out when you change a membership. Unfortunately the send process of the mail fails and triggers this function in my plugin to log the details of the error. Somehow the mail was not logged in the first place but this function of the plugin assumes this. What SMTP/Mail plugin do you use in WordPress?

    Kind regards

Thanks for the prompt reply. We’re using the WP Mail SMTP plugin:

    Hope this helps.

Just posting here to follow the thread – I use PMPro as well and want to check back in case I get any errors next time there is a membership payment or update on my site.
