• I had a problem after activating Fast WordPress in Meta Slider (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ml-slider/). When I added slides in the Meta Slider admin, it would not add the images I selected. I deactivated Fast WordPress and it now works as it did before.

I’d still like to use Fast WordPrss, can you provide a solution so I can still use it with Meta Slider?

    Hi,

thank you for trying out Fast WordPress and providing feedback!

Ich played around with the combination of fast-wp and ml-slider for a bit now. Since I don’t know for sure what settings you are using, I have to guess:

I think you might be loading jquery-core.js or jquery.js asynchronous or even removed it via fast-wp.

Sadly, ml-slider depends on jquery being present either in the header or in the footer of your page – which is the reason it is not working.

So for fast-wp and ml-slider to work together, you would have to put the jquery JS-files into header or footer part – anything else will break ml-slider.

I hope this is helping, if not – I am happy to help again!

    Thanks for the quick response.

Everything you noted makes sense. It’s not a huge deal as I can temporarily deactivate Fast WordPress when building my sliders, then reactivate when done. The sliders will not be updated that frequently, so it’s a reasonable workaround.

Other than this minor issue, your plugin works well and I’m very satisfied with it.
