Support » Plugin: Preloader Plus - WordPress Loading Screen Plugin » Conflict with jQuery tooltips loading from header

  • Hi !
I just spend 5 hours trying to identify an issue on my website, and unfortunately the culprit was Preloader Plus.

Basically here is the problem :
I’m using Beaver Builder and Ultimate Member

Ultimate Member uses Tipsy ( jQuery plugin ) to generate Facebook-style tooltips.
I discovered that when Preloader Plus is activated, it somehow loads the jQuery code from the header, causing it to slide down disgustingly across the page to where it’s supposed to be, making it blinky and impossible to read 50% of the time.

Here is the issue with the code in image : https://imgur.com/a/DnuFjIf

The whole thing is a shame because I really love the plugin, it is really perfect, I use it on all my sites and I could never consider using an other, thanks for making it available

Anyone had the same issue ?

    Thanks in advance…

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Before identifying Preloader as the culprit, I tried tampering with my cache plugin ( combine/uncombine js files in both header & footer ) , updating & downgrading jQuery, resizing my pages, etc.

Unfortunately, it seems like Preloader plus is the sole cause of this issue, which is really sad because the plugin is great.

    BUMP ! Anyone ?
This is getting mildly annoying and unfortunately the plugin is free, so I can’t request support from the dev.

What the actual fuck ? Who do I have to pay to get a basic answer around here ??

It’s a shame they dont respond to questions. I am having a similar issue.

    That’s right !

I fixed the issue by getting rid of the tooltips all together .
I even forgot that I had the tooltips at some point, your message reminded me of that😂

I’ll end up switching to another plugin anyway. It delays the display of the page in a way that is frustrating to my users.

Basically, the animation continues for 2 seconds even after the page is already loaded, I can’t seem to find a fix.
Anyway, I don’t need these xtra 2 seconds as my site is already slow as fuck.

To his defense, he did say a long time ago that he stopped updating it and that we shouldn’t expect anything anymore.
