  • @drummergirl,

    As far as I can tell the Jetpack comments system totally replaces and over write the core code system and therefore breaks any plugin that link into the core hooks.

    @drummergirl,

    I have dug deeper into Jetpack and cannot get any further than yesterday. I’m going to hide the comment form options in Subscribe2 if Jetpack is running so future versions don’t raise expectation for something that isn’t possible.

    I have also found a way to disable Jetpack modules using code so that may be a path I can investigate but I’m reluctant to write code that is default behaviour that alters other plugins and might cause the developers of the code support issues.

    Thanks for checking. I just talked with my client and I think they are ok with disabling the Jetpack comments for now. That should resolve the issue for them.

    drummergirl you should look into disqus comments. Great plugin and as far as I can tell is working great with this plugin as well.

    Here is a link to their plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/disqus-comment-system/
