    Hi folks,

I recently updated this plugin from 1.6.2 to 1.8.5 and unfortunately this stopped internal links working. Internal links jump to the top of the page and make scrolling downward jittery.

You can see the problem at https://paradigm.staging2.phoenixweb.com.au/. Try clicking any of the nav menu links and contrast with the live site at https://paradigm-co.com.au/ where I rolled back to 1.6.2. The only difference between the two sites is the version of Easy FancyFox in use.

Not an urgent problem for me as the rollback fixed everything, but something you may want to look at for the next version.

    Cheers,
    James

  • Hi James, that’s strange. I really would not have the slightest idea how this would happen. FancyBox is not binding itself to the links in question and there are no script errors reported in the browser console.

The only thing I notice is that both the plugin and the theme are including their own version of the jQuery Easing extension. To test a possible conflict here, could you change the transition effects on Settings > Media from “Elastic” to “Fade”? This will cause the plugin to skip the Easing extension..

Or you could try setting a script priority value under the Theme Compatibility options. I suggest starting with 1 (one) and then try 11 or higher.

    Hi RavanH,

Looks like your hunch was correct. That worked a charm. Thanks for that!

I don’t imagine there’s any way other solution at least not one that doesn’t involve a huge amount of work rewriting the plugin. Might be worth a note in your troubleshooting section.

    Cheers,
    James
