Support » Plugin: Simple Page Ordering » Conflict with Google Analytics Dashboard in 3.5

  • Hi Jake,

I work as a consultant at a small WordPress design and development shop, we specialize in advanced development. Your plugin has been the best choice for allowing our clients to easily order their Pages and Custom Post Types and we love it.

Recently, however, we have been upgrading our clients to the 3.5 release and we started noticing that the plugin stopped working. We went through the standard troubleshooting steps and discovered that the Google Analytics Dashboard plugin was causing issues. Separately both your plugin and the GAD are working fine in 3.5 but there appears to be some conflict when we run both at once, I’m assuming it’s something to do with javascript. I know it’s a long shot, but would you be able to provide any suggestions on what we could do or where we could look in order to fix this?

I’d have to dig into GAD to determine the problem, but it seems odd that it would effect all of the post type editor pages. Does SPO work at all? Can you drag the row?

    Hi Jake,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I can drag the rows, but the order is not preserved and the rows sometimes appear distorted after moving them. I can also post an inquiry on the GAD support forum if you think that would help at all.

I understand if you don’t have the time to dig through the GAD code, but if you have any suggestions or even an idea of what to look for I’m all ears.
