    Yoast Duplicate Post works great.

Conflict with Contactform7, steps to reproduce the issue:

    Copy a Contactform7 form, email-tab is empty.
Uninstall Yoast Duplicate Post, email-tab is copied correct.

  • Hi @cewebdesignmunchen,

Contact Form 7 has its own duplicate feature, so this may be what you’re using. Duplicate Post’s features are disabled for CF7 forms, so it doesn’t appear under the Permissions tab for Display Post’s settings.

We weren’t able to see a problem with Contact Form 7 with Duplicate Post enabled. Could you give us more details about or links to screenshots that highlight the problem and what you expected to see?

Also, if you haven’t done so already, we ask you to report the issue to the Contact Form 7 support as well.

Thank you for looking at the issue.

I try to describe it further:

    Create a Contactform7 form with filled email-tab.
    Copy this Contactform7 form.
Expected result: Email-tab of the copied form is filled.
Actual result: Email-tab of the copied form is empty.

After uninstalling Yoast Duplicate Post, email-tab is copied with data, as expected.

This behavior occured after Yoast Duplicate Post update.
Before both Plugins worked fine with no conflicts.
Even thou they have different duplicate features,
it looks like code changes resulted in an incompatibility.

    Hi @cewebdesignmunchen,

Unfortunately, we’re still not able to reproduce the problem you described with the latest versions of Duplicate Post and Contact Form 7. We’re assuming that the Email tab you’re referring to is the Contact Form 7 “Mail” tab and the details copied without any issues.

Can you confirm that you’re using the latest version of all of your plugins? If so, this problem could be due to another plugin or something specific to the site or the form.

Just to be sure, you can do a test to see if this still happens if you deactivate all plugins other than Duplicate Post and Contact Form 7 and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.

We have a step-by-step guide to checking for conflicts here: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Can you inform us of the results?

We’re marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. You’re welcome to create a new issue if you need further assistance.
