[resolved] conflict with CKEditor (4 posts)

There is a conflict between the CKEditor plugin and Jetpack's contact form feature. When CKEditor is active, Jetpack cannot create or insert a contact form.

When CKEditor is deactivated, Jetpack works correctly.

I checked the plugin's support forums, and noticed a few threads reporting conflicts between CKEditor and other plugins, and CKEditor and WordPress 3.5 in general:

I would suggest that you look at the solutions proposed in that last thread: it seems that some users found a solution to fix these conflicts.

Thank you for these references. I read through all of them, and I think the issue was different. The problem that they were addressing was that they could not load or run CKEditor. I didn't see any solution for CKEditor interfering with other plugins.

CKEditor seems to create Javascript errors in your dashboard, thus creating mutliple conflicts with other plugins like Jetpack, but also with core WordPress features like galleries.

There is not much I can do to help here, but I would recommend that you check for Javascript errors in your dashboard thanks to your browser's Javascript console. If you paste the errors in the thread you started here, that might help the plugin author; if they understand the issue they can can work on a fix and release a new version of the plugin.
