A problem I am having with a different plugin, BackupGuard, where a down-arrow icon is not working. This seems to be attributed to something this plugin is doing (and should not be). According to BackupGuard Support:

We investigated the issue and found out that the cause of this malfunction is a conflict between BackupGuard and “Admin Custom Login” plugin, they include their css and js files in our page and this results in a conflict. As the problem doesn’t come from BackupGuard and is related to another plugin, we highly recommend reporting it to that plugin developers.

Since this could also impact other plugins, may I ask you to update your plugin so that the css and js you need is only loaded when your plugin is active and removed when it is not added?

    Hi Rob,

Please share your site URL, where are you getting conflicts?

Is it admin part or front-end part?

We will help you to fix it.

    Thanks

Here is the link to the stage environment, which is a mirror of the production site and also demonstrates the problem: Shapiro Cloud.

Yes, it is happening in the admin back-end. An example is to go to BackupGuard: click “Backups”, then click the blue download icon. What you should see is a choice of downloading the log file or the actual backup. When clicking, the choices do not appear. Other BackupGuard icons/buttons that have single actions (no icon/button) work fine.

How do I privately send you the credentials?

    Thank you so much!

Please note that when you go to the stage environment site, you may get an error in your browser. If your browser is showing you that something is still going on (i.e. in Chrome, the tab icon continues to spin), just a few more moments and the site will come up fine.

This is a GoDaddy issue but does not prevent you from getting to the site, you just have to be patient.

Okay, we will test the “Backup Guard” plugin with our plugin on the local system and get back to you.

    Thanks

    Thank you!

Here is a screen shot of what it is not working and what it should be working: https://www.screencast.com/t/aV7W3fXbUg

I am having a similar issue with Responsive Menu Pro. I am unable to select options from drop down boxes. I can also confirm the issue with Backup Guard. Please let us know how to fix this issue. This is a great plugin and I would not want to lose it.

    Hi @xr793,

Is Responsive Menu Pro conflicting in admin part?

    Thanks

Yes that’s correct and they said it was because of the Custom Admin plugin. Once I disable it I can choose my options.

    This was there response
“The issue is being caused by a plugin called “Admin Custom Login”.

For some reason it is exposing its javascript and CSS on my plugins page and I’m not sure why that is needed.”

Can you share Pro plugin using our site? (mail at the top of the page)

We will test the plugin with pro plugin and get back to you.

    Thanks

I’m afraid I can’t share the Pro plugin because it is licensed for 5 sites and these are all taken. However, the problem is reproducible without being in Pro as it is the same UI issue in the Admin of BackupGuard. The free BackupGuard should suffice.

If it does not, please let me know why and I will ask BackGuard support to make an exception on my license to 6 sites so that you can use it. I will need to explain what is preventing you from using the free version, so please be prepared to give a detailed explanation.

Alternatively, you could ask BackupGuard yourself and give them my ticket #846184.

I asked BackupGuard if there were any differences between Free and Pro. They said:

The logic for download is the same for both, Free and Pro versions.

They also indicated that if you are having any problems, you should reach out to them and they will help you. Remember to include ticket #846184 so that they know what you are trying to do.

    Hi Rob,

Please update the plugin version 2.5.3. And let us know about the conflict issues.

Your feedback is appreciated and we are sorry for too much delay in this update.

    Thanks
