Support » Plugin: Quiz Tool Lite » conflict with another plugin

  • hello and thank you for your work!
I have an issue with the another plugin that i’m using called LifterLMS. Basically, i cannot access the editing page for one of my online courses, where I use your quizzes. I contacted their tech support and they said the issue might be related to QTL and instructed me to contact you.
I hereby quote what i was answered at LifterLMS.

“It appears that the builder is failing because a plugin, I think “Quiz Tool Lite”, is outputting a buch of custom css and scripts during our AJAX calls.

It looks like the issue is that the plugin echos these styles and scripts instead of returning them. This will work just fine during actual rendering but will cause issues when the content is not supposed to be displayed.

I’ve attached a screencap of the content being output by the plugin which is breaking our AJAX call.

Disabling this plugin should resolve the issue, but that wouldn’t allow you to continue using it! I’d recommend reaching out to the plugin devs for some assistance here. The issues all come from their class “qtl_quiz_draw”.

Do you have an email where I can attach the screencap?
Do you seen any ways we can correct the issue?
It used to work alright earlier.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
Sorry to hear you’re having problems.
The link to the screeen shot doesn’t appear to work. Ideally I’d need to install the other plugin to duplicate the issue. You can send me a screenshot to alexfurr AT hotmail.com.

Alex, hi there! did you have any chance to get back to this problem?

Hi, not yet. I need to be able to reproduce the problem which means getting a copy of the LMS to install. I’m looking to see if there is a demo version available.

I think the LifterLMS itself is free. They charge for checkout and integration add-ons.
    Thank you for help, anyway!

    Hi,
I’ve installed the lifter LMS as well as QTL – can you guide me through where you are seeing the page exactly.
    e.g. I’ve embedded a question using a shortcode [QTL-Question id=1] on a specific type of LMS page.

    hi,
you click Courses underneath the LifterLMS on the menu.

then you pick a course and hit edit. when at the editting page there will be a blue button on the right named Course Builder. When i click the course builder to edit a course where i use embedded QTL quizzes, the page turns in “wait…” mode (a circle turning into a square and backwards) and nothing happens.

Hi – OK I’m finally at the same step as you.
So I can see the problem you’re having – give me a couple of days to come up with a fix.

Yes I’ve got a fix but am still testing it as it effects several of the quiz settings like auto redirection and some of the quiz icons. I can send you the completed code if you want to test it.

    well, it’s good to hear!
i’m afraid, it’s all greek to me, i guess, there’s no need in sending me the code. so i will wait for your official update.
    thanks for your work!
