    Hello!

It says in your documentation that “Any plugin that uses the GeoIP library or provides geo blocking or geo detection features may have a problem with Wordfence. This includes the plugin “iq-block-country” which can’t run alongside Wordfence.”

    Why? What happens?

  • Hello,
As far as I can tell, you won’t get any fatal error messages preventing both plugins from being activated together on your website, however, some users reported seeing visits in “Live Feed” from countries that were blocked already using “iq-block-country”, according to the plugin author reply here, I think it’s worth to give it a try, perhaps this was reported in older versions of the plugin and it’s not the case now.

    Thanks.

Thanks. So I guess “can’t run alongside Wordfence” in the Wordfence documentation
https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Plugins_that_might_have_issues_and_solutions_to_them should be “may not run alongside Wordfence”.

Maybe it’s also worth noting what the plugin author have said here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/conflict-with-wordfence-8/
“Other plugins may indeed conflict if they use the GeoIP library. I’ve altered the library in a way it should not conflict with any other party.
No guarantee for the future. The GeoIP library is a standard library with standard functions if they alter functions for their use Wordfence may not work.”
