After the 3.1.18 version of the plugin, we’ve had trouble with the Next lesson link in the Zippy Courses plugin. I believe it was both next and previous links in the first couple of 3.2.x releases, and now it’s just the next link that goes missing.

We would very much like to get back to updating plugins on a regular basis to protect against hacks and such, so we’re hopeful there’s a fix to this.

I can supply details in private as needed. Or can test ideas out to see if this can be fixed in future My Calendar versions.

    Thanks!

So, I think I know what this is, and it’s a pain – looks like I have to choose where to throw errors. This stems from a change I made because of some plugins that threw errors because they weren’t passing all the variables into the next/prev filters, so I made the variables optional. However, that seems to be breaking other plugins.

So back to the drawing board.

    Hi Joe,

Thanks so much for the response.

Is there anything we might be able to help with to work through the conflict? We do have a dev/test environment I can enable and provide access for debugging. Contact me privately for details.

    Thanks again,
    Tim

Quick note/clue: Latest version shows the “previous” link now. “Next” is still missing, but maybe that’ll give a hint as to what’s going on.

    Hi Joe,

Just looking to see if this might still be on your radar. I tested the latest version 3.2.7 and the issue remains. As noted above, the “previous” button is showing now, but not the “next” button.

    Thanks!

Note: changelog.txt file in plugin only goes up to 2.5.17 🙂

The more recent changelog info is in the readme.txt; I just move older entries to changelog.txt periodically. The changelog.txt file isn’t picked up by the readme parser for WordPress.org, so it’s not a good place for the entire history.

And, yes – it’s on my radar…but to be entirely honest, I forgot about it in the last release. Sorry about that!

Ok, understood on the changelog 🙂

Thanks for taking another look, or bumping this item for inclusion in a new version. We’d love to be able to update safely again.

If some sort of workaround were possible via functions.php or otherwise, that would help in the meantime.

FYI, this wasn’t in the last release just because that was kind of an emergency release, due to a wide-spread bug that was breaking individual event pages. Back to work on it, now.
