Hi, We have a problem with the “Taxonomy Terms” field in the WooCommerce product edit (in the administration) where we use this field. Selected items cannot be sorted manually by dragging the mouse in this field. If we define the ACF field outside of the product editing page, dragging works fine there.

We have been experiencing this problem for a long time and it is probably caused by the latest versions of WooCommerce and the ACF Extended plugin.

Please resolve this issue soon. Thank you very much.

The problem is with the use of this field:

Hi, Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, we still have this problem on this version of ACF Extended 0.8.8.9. We also have all other plugins updated (ACF PRO 6.0.1, ACF Font Awesome 4.0.3, ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO 3.0.1, ACF Repeater & Flexible Content Collapser 1.2.4 and WooCommerce 6.9.4). However, the problem persists.

In this case, we use the taxonomy from the WP Media Folder plugin.

If it helps you, I will set up access to the WP administration on our test eshop.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

I just tested it, and it works fine on my end. Here is the video of my test.

I would recommend to setup a clean WP install with ACF Pro / ACF Extended / Woocommerce only, and test the feature on it. If you prefer to keep your installation, then try to disable all your plugins one-by-one (at the exception of ACF Pro / ACF Extended / Woocommerce) until you find which one cause the issue.

If the problem persists, I would suggest switch to the native WP Twenty Twenty Two theme, to make sure you don’t have any custom code in your theme that would break the feature.

Let me know if you found something!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

    Hi,
many thanks for the reply and the video. After more thorough testing on clean WordPress (with ACF Pro / ACF Extended / Woocommerce plugins), we found that if we additionally activate the WP Media Folder plugin, the drag and drop to change order stops working in the ACF select box. We even tried a different taxonomy from WordPress (without using the WP Media Folder taxonomy) and the result was the same. An active WP Media Folder plugin affects your functionality.

I also wrote a ticket to support the WP Media Folder plugin.
Can you just check if you can fix it on your end as well?

Thank you very much and best regards

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

I just tested it, and it looks like the problem come from the WP Media Folder plugin alone, and is not related to ACF Extended. In fact, on a clean install with ACF Pro, Woocommerce and WP Media Folder only (without ACF Extended), the ACF Select2 field doesn’t work correctly either on a Woocommerce page.

To test it, you can try to use a native ACF Field: Post Object (See documentation). This field will display a select box allowing to select multiple values (The ACF Extended Taxonomy Terms field is based on it).

If you display it on a Woocommerce product with the WP Media Folder (and without ACF Extended enabled), you won’t be able to re-order items either. The issue was fixed by ACF last year, it was related to the SelectWoo library. Here is the related Github Ticket. You might want to forward this to the developer.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
