Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Conflict between Yoast SEO and Elementor Pro

I installed Elementor Pro and got an error while trying to create a Footer or Header (Pro-only templates). Debugging lead me to find that there was a conflict with Yoast SEO (deactivating Yoast makes Elementor Pro work).

The plugin works fine with Yoast active when adding/editing a section or any non-Pro element.

I’ve opened a ticket with Elementor, but it would be great if Yoast could work in tandem with them to clear this up.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

    Hi Vinny,

Can you confirm that this issue persists when only Yoast SEO, Elementor and Elementor Pro are active? In addition, can you confirm you’re using the latest versions of all plugins?

I have just tested importing a PRO header template in Elementor Pro and everything seems to be working correctly. You can see the results here.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @marius_codeinwp,

Thanks for following up. I cloned the site, deactivated everything unrelated, and it still happened. However, when I switched the theme from my highwind-child to twentynineteen, it worked correctly. Switching it to highwind (parent) also breaks it.

Looks like it’s time to switch to a theme that’s still maintained.

    Cheers,
    Vinny
