Hi. I’m hosted on DreamPress and have discovered that the current version of the plugin conflicts with the current version of the Headway Theme. The result is that css files are unable to be loaded because they are read as html type instead of CSS.

I’ve sent this same message to the Headway team.

That’s not a fault of the plugin though it may be an issue with your Proxy Cache (Varnish, Nginx etc). The plugin has absolutely nothing to do with the output of your site. It merely communicates with the proxy service that you’ve updated content, and flushes the cache as needed.

Okay, thank you. What is the relationship between this plugin and Dreamhost? It looks like Dreamhost developed or is somehow involved with the development? I’m hosted by DreamPress, so the relevant proxy caches are fully managed by them.

I was hoping that relationship would lead to a faster/easier resolution.

Perhaps it is an issue specific to the theme, though. I will continue to investigate there.

    It’s .. confusing 😀

I work for DreamHost, and we use this at DreamHost for our managed hosting, but it’s also used by a number of people outside DreamHost, and I support them too as best I can. Support here on the forums is ONLY for the plugin, not for the cache on the server … because I don’t have unlimited time 🙂

You should open a ticket with DreamHost directly and tell them that the theme isn’t playing well with caching. There’s a team of people who can bang on that and see if it can be sorted out. Do link them back here though, so they can know what was already said (though they may just ask me anyway…)
