I am using Meteor Slides which has been a very reliable plugin for me for a few years. I recently activated User Role Editor. Now, when logged in to back-end as Administrator of the site, I cannot see the Meteor Slides menu in the admin panel to make changes/add/remove slides. The plugin is still functioning on the front end.
If I deactivate User Role Editor, the slides menu returns as it should be. If URE is activated again, the menu disappears.

Meteor Slides plugin looks for the presence of the other role management plugin – Members. If Meteor Slides finds Members plugin it uses its own custom set of user capabilities:
    – meteorslides_delete_slide
    – meteorslides_edit_others_slides
    – meteorslides_edit_slide
    – meteorslides_edit_slides
    – meteorslides_manage_options
    – meteorslides_manage_slideshows
    – meteorslides_publish_slides
    – meteorslides_read_private_slides
    – meteorslides_read_slides,
instead of built-in WordPress capabilities, which it use by default.

I suppose that you use Gravity Forms plugin also. Current version of URE simulates ‘Members’ plugin presence for the Gravity Forms – in order to force it to use its own user capabilities set. The same takes place for the Meteor Slides plugin.

Open Administrator role in the User Role Editor and turn on all capabilities which are switched off there currently. It will fix your problem.

Vladimir, I apologize I did not see your reply until today. That worked great. I just started using Gravity Forms and your instructions cleared up the Meteor Slides question and another issue I was having too. Thank you so very much.
