[Resolved] Confirmation Email not sending.

  • I read through the previous topic on email, but it did not answer my question.

    The confirmation email will not send for my client’s shopping cart. We’re not sending a download link, just a confirmation, but it will not send when tested.

    I called the hosting company they said they should not be holding anything up on there end, though there might be an issue with the relay and they gave me this code:
    relay-hosting.secureserver.net but no other instructions. Is this what I might be missing? And where do I put it?

    Hi, that might be the URL to their SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server. But before you go to that stage I want to make sure that the plugin is actually sending the email.

    please enable debug in the Simple PayPal Shopping Cart settings and do one test transaction. That way I will be able to see what is happening on the back end.

    Ok, I did that, and even reset the debug log file. No go.

    You don’t see any information in the log file regarding the transaction? Can you please make sure that you have the IPN option enabled in your PayPal account?

    Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was waiting on my client to update account info and it was quite a process, BUT (!) once I confirmed the client’s new account, I suddenly received all the confirmations from the previous purchases. She however, did not. But she did receive them before all this mess.

    So that’s it, right?

    Hello kastleo, has your issue being resolved yet?

    Yes, It has been resolved. Sorry for the delay. I just needed to update the correct bank account information in the client’s paypal account. Everything is working.
