Hmmm… nope, but that’s a good idea. I’m surprised no-one has asked before…
I’ll see if I can get that in the next (minor) release.
What it is is we’re working on avoiding the junk folder when we return their email. We’re thinking that if we can get them to confirm, then their mail server likes us. Maybe there’s a more elegant solution, but the confirmation was the best we could come up with.

Using Mandrill or another transactional ESP would be the first step:

As far as validating leads are legit, a confirmation link of some kind could work, but that data would be stuck in WordPress (the web to lead API can’t update an existing lead).
