  • Hi Nate,

    I have a problem with the confirmation emails and cancellation of reservations.
    Sometimes these emails do not reach the customer and it is a serious problem for the restaurant, do you know how we can improve this?

    There are many things that can effect email delivery, many of them related to your email server configuration. The FAQ includes a checklist as well as advice on how to investigate email delivery issues:

    I too was having similar problems with one of my installs. I came across this plugin https://wp-ecommerce.net/easy-wordpress-smtp-send-emails-from-your-wordpress-site-using-a-smtp-server-2197 I am still in trial but it would appear that my email delivery problems have gone.

    Hi, maybe in addition to what Nate said. I already use his plugin for years now. Also came up with this issue in the beginning. What I did to investigate was the following. I created a free account with Sendgrid. Only for that server and mailadress. So the I startde testing to send mail through the website and offline. In sendgrid dashboard you can see exactly what route the mail is processed so every smtp or php call is visible. Then you can see if mail is send and delivered to the post mailbox for that address.
    I needed that because some customer claimed they didn’t receive but now I had the evidnce. 99% is making a typo in the mailaddress or is coming to a spamfolder.
