 * Problem: When uploading a file, the suggested text for linking to an uploaded
   file from within a post is given as:
 * <img src=’;../wp-content/plus_one_03.jpg’ alt=’test 4′ />
 * However, when I paste this into my entry, and try to view it, the url of the
   image becomes:
 * [http://www.eastleigh-scouts.org.uk/2005/02/41/](http://www.eastleigh-scouts.org.uk/2005/02/41/);../
   wp-content/plus_one_03.jpg
 * which the browser is not able to translate.
 * The options for upload are set as:
    Destination directory: /home/davidpa/public_html/
   districtscouts/wp-content URI for directory: ../wp-content
 * For info, I have tried the URI value as “/wp-content” with the same results.
 * WordPress version: 1.5
 * Can anyone point me in the right direction?

 * First, you have a stray semicolon, it’s helping nothing.
 * Secondly, try linking directly to your wp-content folder with an absolute path,
   [http://eastleigh-scouts.org.uk/districtscouts/wp-content/](http://eastleigh-scouts.org.uk/districtscouts/wp-content/)
   would be my guess at the path.

 * The stray ; was a bug in version 1.5.
    Upgrading to the lastest version (1.5.1.3)
   fixes that, lots of other bugs and some security issues.

 * Thanks for the help guys. I guess a little work tonight to upgrade the software
   is in order.
