  • I finally got Apache active on my OSX ML machine, but I can’t seem to get past step one on the config for WordPress. I keep getting the same error:

    Error establishing a database connection

  • This means that you have got incorrect values set in your wp-config.php file for your database connection. It could be any of the DB connection settings (WP isn’t qite so good at giving a descriptive error message there for security reasons). You could try setting WP_DEBUG to TRUE to see if that gives you any more info on exactly what the error is.

But I’d go back and double-check your connection settings. Obviously one of them is wrong, so it’s just figuring out which one (or more) it is.
