• I keep getting this:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/eclecti2/public_html/wp-admin/install-config.php on line 121
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/eclecti2/public_html/wp-admin/install-config.php on line 142
Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/eclecti2/public_html/wp-admin/install-config.php on line 143
It seems to happen everytime I try to get through the install-config step 2. Can anyone help me figure out why? Thanks.

  • Please create the database configuration manually by opening wp-config-sample.php, filling in your database connection details, and renaming it wp-config.php.

It took me less than five minutes to fix that problem in the code. What’s the deal?

Who knows? wp-config-install.php is supposed to make things easier – but easier than what? Opening and editing a text file? Suggesting that WordPress users are incapable of doing that is insulting to our intelligence. Especially since we have to do it anyway because the little form doesn’t work. Unnecessary files are bad enough, broken unnecessary files are even worse.
And even if it’s fixed in the CVS, are people supposedly too stupid to edit a text file going to be downloading from CVS anyway? Common sense, guys, please!
