Config problems between actual site and localhost

I’ve had wordpress powered blog up and running online for a few months but now I’m trying to create a version on my localhost machine for easier editing / tinkering but it won’t connect to my database.

The localversion now displays “We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the clownjar database.”

I’ve named the two DBs the same thing but I can’t seem to get anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
