Hi, I’d need to see a live example to understand better what you mean. Can you share a link?
I just setup a wordpress site on localhost in order to test some plugins. Here what i did:
1- install a wordpress site on localhost (using twenty-fourteen theme as default)
2- I install 2 plugins, Compact Audio Player and Highlight Search Terms.
3- I modify the code in content.php file (line 49) as below:
<?php if ( is_search() ) : ?>
<div class="entry-summary">
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
change into —>
<?php if ( is_search() ) : ?>
<div class="entry-summary">
<?php the_content(); ?>
Because I want to display audio in search results, that why i change the_excerpt() into the_content().
4- I make some dummy contents, and do searching. The results show exactly what I want, but have no sound at all. :(.
I think the explanation above help you clear. Maybe you do some check.
Thank you!
Do you see any script errors in your browser console?
In any case, I created a test page http://www.status301.com/?s=audio where it seems to be working fine. However, I’m using the development version of Highlight Search Terms there. You can download it from http://wordpress.org/plugins/highlight-search-terms/developers/ under Other Versions.
Please let me know if the dev version solves the issue on your site.
