I have an odd situation on one site:

    1) We have about four modals we want people to encounter.
    2) We don’t want to inflict them too frequently.
    3) But some of our users only visit once every few months.

Using the modal tool we have now, a visitor can end-up with all found modals overlaying one another if they have not visited in several months.

Can the conditions function in this plugin “chain” conditions based on other conditions. Use case:

    * If visitor has seen model A, but has not visited in 120 days, show them model A
    * If visitor has seen model A in the last 120 days, show them modal B

  • Hello @guyshomenet:

Our Advanced Targeting Conditions plugin extension allows you to set a Condition to activate a popup on preload that can check whether a cookie exists in the visitor’s browser. [In the Popup Admin >> ‘Conditions’ box, look for ‘Select a Condition’ >> ‘Cookie Exists’ >> {add-cookie-ID-here}.]

This cookie would be set by the visitor’s previous visit to your site after closing a popup during their initial site visit. // Advanced Targeting Conditions plugin extension info & purchase page. // Documentation article for ATC extension; ‘Cookie Exists’.

Keep in mind that by default, the term of our cookies is set to 1 month. As a plugin user, you have control over this term. You can change the cookie duration from minutes to years. If you’re targeting users who visit your site every 4 or more months, then you will need to set a cookie longer than the default value of 1 month.
