conditional tag for “first page” of paged posts?

    @donzacharias

    Hi,
    I’m looking for a conditional tag to wrap around content that you only want to appear on “/page/1″… for example, to wrap it around an author’s bio so that it only appears on “/authorname” or “/authorname/page/1” but not on subsequent pages. Can anybody help?

    Thanks!

    Try:

    if( !is_paged() )

    If this does not work for cases of /page/ 1 and through query_posts() or some other means you are forcing pagination that is affecting things, then instead try:

    if( get_query_var('paged') < 2 )
