 * This plugin will arbitrarily change your website when it hasnt been updated in
a while. On 2 occasions it has taken down my site without me knowing until the
client found it causing me some embarrassment.

 * Hi [@jxenarios](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jxenarios/) ,
 * Thank you for your feedback, and we completely understand your frustration and
   the embarrassment this has caused.
 * From your perspective, it absolutely looks like the plugin is arbitrarily taking
down your site, and I want to thank you for bringing this to our attention. The
situation is definitely something that is not in the intention of our products
   team.
 * I have seen this issue a couple of times before, and it is likely to have been
caused by subtle but critical version mismatch between plugins, especially if
you have the Event Tickets Plus plugin. Event Tickets (the free version) and
Event Tickets Plus (the premium add-on) are designed to work as a matched pair.
 * What likely happened is that the free Event Tickets plugin was set to auto-update,
while the premium Event Tickets Plus was not. When the free plugin updated itself
to a new version, it became temporarily incompatible with the older version of
Plus, leading to undesired behaviors caused by [version compatibility](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/version-compatibility/).
 * If yours was a different case, we’re more than happy to assist and further investigate
the matter. Please don’t hesitate to open a [support thread](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/event-tickets/),
or open a [Support Ticket](https://theeventscalendar.com/support/#contact) on
our Help Desk if you’re using the Event Tickets Plus premium add-on plugin.
