Compression not working on existing and new images | WordPress.org

Hi

I install the plugin to help compress existing and new images. I select “Compress new images during upload”. The Media Library view shows that the new images are compressed but they are not compressed. I realize that they are not compressed when I view their download sizes in Chrome DevTools.

– a screenshot of what you see if you click on “details” in the compression column in Media Library
– an original image and the “compressed” version
