My Google page speed rank is low due to Optimized images. The entire list points to images in the thumbnail folder for NetGen Gallery. This plugin optimizes the main images but seems to ignore the thumbnail images. How can we optimize the thumbnail images?

@alphie – What exactly are you wanting to do to “optimize” the thumbnail images in the /thumbs/ folders?

I would like a way to be able to optimize the thumbnails. Right now the only option given is to optimize the main photo. When running my site through Google Page Speed Report it ranks me very low on optimized images. When I view the images in question they are all the images located in the thumbnail folder. So right now I have to optimize them manually with another third party tool on my desktop and re-upload them. By manually optimizing the thumbnails I went from a score of 74 to 84. NextGEN Gallery just needs to optimize the thumbnails too.

@alphie – We don’t have any specific optimization methods or functionality to employ via the plugin so again I am not really understanding your issue, what are you using to “optimize” the “main photo”?

    – Cais.
