Complianz is prohibiting access to Tatsu (visual page editor)

    I build sites using the Exponent Premium theme tool – the visual page builder plugin that goes with it is Tatsu – similar to Elementor. After the most recent update to Complianz, while the site is fine on the front end, Complianz is preventing me from accessing the Tatsu interface to edit the page – the page loads in WordPress, but it hangs at loading the Tatsu interface to edit. I do mean all pages, not just one. As soon as I disable Complianz, it’s fine again.

    I’m currently going through the process again after resetting to see WHERE the problem starts. The active plugin alone is not the problem…

    This site is currently under construction and this is a pretty major hiccup. The site is only malfunctioning on the backend and accessing the editor. Current version of Complianz is 6.0.5. Thank you!

    Can you try this branch?

    It completely excludes page builders from loading the banner javascript:

    Sorry, the github ver does not work either. I am saving after each section of the wizard and I have narrowed it directly down to checking YouTube in the Services section.

    Checked, I can’t get into Tatsu. Unchecked, it’s fine. I have the following checked: Google Fonts, Google Maps and Vimeo. None of these present a problem. I’ve finished the wizard without YouTube checked and it’s all fine. But that ignores youtube with regard to compliance… I have checked youtube on other sites using this same page builder with no issue – but that was at some point before the most recent update(s).

    Does the pagebuilder have a specific url do we can detect it’s active?

    Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean. Tatsu is a plugin so the url is in the plugin directory of the site (which is currently in maintenance mode.) Can you be more specific with your question? It is active – as is complianz, but without YouTube checked in the services…

    If you go to the site, you’ll find my client’s maintenance page and the cookie banner.

    I mean, when you’re working in the editor, the url often has something like

    ?preview=true

    Or

    ?tatsu

    Or something like that. That would allow me to detect the edit mode of this plugin, and I can add it to the preview check where all builders are checked: divi, elementor, Gutenberg, etc.

    Oh! 🙂 I gotcha. Yes, the editing url – for example, the bio page is:

    I guessed right with the ?tatsu then 🙂

    Sorry, the weekend got in the way. 🙂

    I just uploaded it and flipped YouTube back on and yes, I could get back into the Tatsu editor! Thank you – very much!

    Can I assume you’ll be adding the tatsu parameter to the main plugin so that I can keep Complianz updated via normal plugin updates?

    @mbaydesign please check for a note about tatsu in the readme on the next update. It probably won’t make tomorrow’s update, but I expect the first one after that.

    Hi Rogier!
    I seem to be having the same issue – I only just noticed. There is an alternate ?tatsu when editing both the headers and footers which I hadn’t really paid attention to before. I can get into my header editing, but oddly, not the footer even though they both have alternate uris. I just disabled the youtube integration in Complianz and the footer editing came back. 🙂

    The two alternate editing parameters are
    ?tatsu-header
    ?tatsu-footer
