 * I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to move my existing wordpress install,
   put in a new one and make sure that all the links from the old one, forward to
   the new one. I’ve spent hours researching how best to do this and I’m coming
   up empty so I would appreciate any suggestions from the community.
 * Here is the situation.
 * I want to move my blog at [http://www.backcountrypost.com](http://www.backcountrypost.com)
   into a subdirectory (/blog).
 * That part I understand.
 * Next I want to put in place 301 redirects for all of those posts and tags so
   that I don’t lose my search rankings and visitors get where they need to go.
 * Pretty sure I understand how to do that too.
 * What I’m having trouble with, is how I can then add a new install of WordPress
   to the root directory of my site without having those new links get bounced to
   the /blog directory. If it helps any, I could just leave the existing install
   and duplicate it into /blog. I am only going to be using Pages on the install
   in the root directory.
 * Any advice on this?
 * Thank you.
