[Resolved] Completely uninstall plugin

  • I installed this plugin and it seems to have added code into my site which redirects <myurl>/news to a new page however when I uninstall the plugin it doesn’t appear to remove this code so now when you go to the above url it just redirects to the homepage, I can’t seem to work out where this code has been added so that I can remove it as I need to make a page using the above shortcode.

My URL is: http://v2.thetflforum.co.uk/about and the url that’s redirecting is: http://v2.thetflforum.co.uk/news

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

  • I have now managed to partially fix this by re-installing the plugin, unticking all the options in the settings and then uninstalling plugin again, this allowed my page using the ‘/news’ shortcode to show up rather than redirecting to the homepage however now whenever you click on a child page of the news page it redirects you to the homepage.

    Help please :).

Yes, this needs to be fixed.

What is happening is that WordPress hangs on to the permalink rules created after the plugin is deactivated. If you go to your Permalinks settings page, the rules are reset. Try deactivating again, and then go to http://v2.thetflforum.co.uk/wp-admin/options-permalink.php (assuming you have WP installed in the typical location).

That has worked, thanks very much :).
