Completely Stumped! Feed not validating (2 posts)

I am a newbie when it comes to rss feeds and I don't really understand how they work.

I recently installed the podpress plugin and followed the steps to set it up. I thought I did everything right but when I go to the page that is supposed to be my feed URL, there is nothing there.

I have my posts page and the mp3's are uploaded and attached to the appropriate post but it doesn't seem to be connected to any rss feed.

When I validate the "feed" I get this error on feedvalidator.org...

    This feed does not validate.

Server returned HTTP Error 503: Service Unavailable [help]

line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:0: no element found [help]

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation.

Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]

    Source: http://www.rockwoodchurch.com/feed/podcast

The plugin generated the feed url of "http://www.rockwoodchurch.com/feed/podcast".

My posts are located at "http://www.rockwoodchurch.com/media".

I hope that is enough information!

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out!

    Thank You!

If http://www.rockwoodchurch.com/feed/podcast should be the podcast feed then open podPress > Feed/iTunes Settings, go to section podPress Feeds and make sure that the feed is active (there is a check box right at the beginning of the settings of each podPress Feed). Make also sure that the feed slug name is still podcast (otherwrwise the feed URL would be different).

Furthermore it is possible that the maintenance mode plugin blocks feed requests. It might be necessary to deactivate this plugin for a moment when you validate the feed. (If you try to validate or open http://www.rockwoodchurch.com/feed , you won't get the feed while the maintenance mode is active.)
Notice: Create also a first post (or test post) with an media file which has been attached to the post with podPress. (If the feed does not contain posts, it is invalid)
