Completely FRUSTRATED! Need Help!

OK, So I have some html experience and usually use dreamweaver for web sites… but I am new to PHP, MySQL and WordPress. I’m hosting my site on Bluehost… and used the simplescripts to add wordpress. But after reading tutorials, I also downloaded WP for my MAC. To install, I also downloaded MAMP. I’m trying to learn how to code my site, but I can’t get anything to work. (I’m designing it in photoshop)

I could definitely use some walk-through help. I want to learn how to do it, but I think adding WP to my bluehost account is interfering with it being on my Mac. Could that be a problem? I don’t really understand how to get WP to work offline through mamp?
