# Completely Broken wordpress

 * okay guys I’m not sure what I did but it’s real bad. I’ll try to explain as much
   as possible.
 * – I’m shutting down an old wordpress and I wanted to move all those old posts
   over to my current blog/wordpress.
    -I made an export file and transfered the
   posts just fine. Then I tried to work something out with NextGen and the images
   from the old wordpress to the new one. Somehow it restarted the whole database
   on the new wordpress and nothing worked. Lots of posts were deleted and it went
   back into what it had been like about 4 weeks earlier. -I tried to fix it but
   nothing worked. So I thought I’ll delete the whole database and start completely
   from fresh with a new install of wordpress with a clean database too, cause nothing
   was working. -I accidently deleted the database for the old wordpress. But still
   had the export file so I was glad to at least have those posts saved. I thought
   it was the worst that would happen really. I continued and deleted the wordpress
   for the new one so I could start over like I had planned. -I set it all up installed
   fine got all the plugins I had back onto it and started to import the old posts.
   Now I don’t know what has happened. -The index doesn’t work no matter what the
   theme is. All the posts are there where they should be. They all have the correct
   permalink they should. I’m not getting any errors through wordpress at all. But
   if you go to:

 * you will see that the sidebar doesn’t show at all and only the first post even
   shows up at all. None of the images will show because I have to re-do all of 
   that sadly. But there is something else happening and I have no idea at all. 
   It’s a brand new database in the phpadmin, it’s a fresh install of wordpress 
   3.1 which I was running before. I’m completely baffled.
 * Any ideas what is happening? Cause this is just driving me crazy.

 * Update somehow my amazon associate plugin was making the sidebar go away. I have
   no idea how. But still if you try to look at older posts it doesn’t work. Or 
   if you try to actually view a post. It says the address is wrong even though 
   that’s where it is.

 * Alright they are working now and I have no idea why. Is there some kind of refreshing
   a system needs? Anyways thanks.
