    I’ve been running your filebase plugin for a week now and love it – it provides everything I need from a file server and looks good doing it! I’ve run into a little problem though as I’ve tried to find the limits of the software.

    While managing the files up for share via FTP, I’ve added and removed thing quite a bit, relying on the “sync” function to cover me. I’ve gotten to a point, though, that I get an error stating “the URL is too large for the server” when attempting to remove missing files or directories. Okay, fine – I figured I would just start over.

    But an uninstall and reinstall of the plugin doesn’t remove the problem, as the database of files along with all my settings are kept even when the plugin is removed, then restored to the new install. This leaves me with quite the issue, as I can no longer modify any of the file structure less going through one-by-one.

    Is there any way to do a complete uninstall, to include all traces of previous file structures and settings?

  • There is a workaround. Simply go to the Settings page and change the upload folder. Save settings and then synchronise. It will detect missing files and folders and offer to remove them from the database. Then change the folder setting again and sync again.
