WordPress version: 3.5.1
WordPress SEO version: 1.4.7
I did this: I’m only using this template to satisfy the request. I, didn’t do anything.
I expected the plugin to do this: I expect WordPress SEO to notify its users of available plugin updates, without interfering in the usability and/or functionality of other plugins. After all, what good is SEO, if traffic cannot get to the links they click on?
Instead it did this: Instead, every single time WordPress SEO, releases an update, the “Simple URLs” Plugin, suffers a Complete Stoppage of Redirection.
This has been going on for months. Naturally, those responding to Simple URLs Plugin support request, place the blame squarely on the WordPress SEO Plugin (See: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/complete-stoppage-of-redirection). Personally, I really don’t care who is at fault. Errors are part of development, especially in an Open Source Community as large as WordPress and WordPress SEO.
However, bringing the functionality of a plugin, to a complete stop, is a SERIOUS ISSUE, especially, when it happens during the Plugin Update Notification Process.
