Support » Plugin: Simple Lightbox » Compatible with Popup Maker?

I use Popup Maker in conjunction with ImageMap Pro to create popups linked to icons on an image.

When those popups themselves contain images, and I click on them, Simple Lightbox does not get used. Instead, I get taken to the default WordPress page for that particular image (e.g., https://pursuit.olbert.com/files/moto/tioga-sonora-2019/Tioga-Panorama-4.jpg).

Is Simple Lightbox not compatible with what Popup Maker is doing? I tried activating Simple Lightbox for everything (e.g., menus, widgets) and clearing the file cache on my browser, but that didn’t change things.

Hi, please provide a link to the Popup Maker plugin and I would be glad to take a look.

    Thanks.

Hi, it looks like Popup Maker adds its popups outside of the post’s content area. SLB automatically activates links in post/page/widget content, but links outside of WordPress’ standard content areas would need to be activated manually (custom user-defined content), or via an add-on (plugin-generated content).

It looks like an add-on is the best option for compatibility with Popup Maker. You can create a request for an add-on on SLB’s official support forum (add-ons are developed based on user demand).

Also note that using multiple popup/lightbox plugins concurrently is generally not recommended, as they are both designed to display content over all other content. As a result, this can lead to unexpected results when popups/lightboxes from different plugins are displayed at the same time.
