  • Hi Deyson,

Thanks for reaching out! At the moment Leadin doesn’t successfully track forms created by Easy Digital Downloads but we’re working on making some changes which should allow us to do so. We are hoping to make it so free (non payment processing) submission on EDD forms can be tracked.

If it is the case that there are any sensitive pieces of information being captured like credit cards on a charged purchase with EDD, Leadin will not track that submission because it will automatically filter out submissions that contain sensitive data.

I can keep you posted as we have more news on supporting EDD if that works for you?

    Thanks!

Hello Shay, That would be great.
Will you be charging in the future? I am curious because my free transactions will be large and I want to make sure I am not surprised.

Also will you be adding integration with Sendy for email contacts?

Thank you and please keep me updated! πŸ™‚

    Hi Deyson,

We do have plans to offer a paid version of Leadin in the future but we do not plan on removing the free version of Leadin, instead we would like to offer additional functionality for power users of Leadin that would provide even more value.

Regarding Sendy, you’re actually one of the first people to suggest a Sendy integration for Leadin, at the moment a Sendy integration isn’t on the roadmap for Leadin but that doesn’t mean it never will be. The way our team works is that we ravenously listen to our users feedback, and when a feature request is asked for enough and it makes sense in the grand product vision, we usually bake it into the plugin.

At the moment Leadin integrates with MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, GetResponse and AWeber, but it’s likely we’ll expand this in the future.

I’ll definitely keep you posted as we have news on capturing submissions with EDD.

    Thanks!

    Hi Deyson,

Just wanted to follow up to let you know that we’ve just released a brand new version of the Leadin form capture tool which now means that we can successfully capture submissions on Easy Digital Download forms. In order for this to work, the ‘Enable Ajax’ option under Settings > Misc in EDD needs to be unchecked but both Leadin and EDD will work if this is disabled.

Also worth mentioning, as per above, that this will only work if there are no sensitive fields on the forms such as credit card fields since Leadin will never collect a form that contains sensitive information.

Thanks again for reaching out. If there is anything I can clarify please let me know.

Hello Shay, I may actually be switching to Woocommerce now. Thank you for the follow up. πŸ™‚

This does work by unchecking the AJAX box, but a consequence is that refreshing clears all the form fields. If they miss entering a required field, the page refreshes, the form resets, and I’ve probably just lost a customer who is too annoyed to fill out the form again. So it’s probably not worth using Leadin here.

Is it technically possible to do this without unchecking the AJAX option in EDD?

    Thx.

    Hi Donna,

I’m afraid that due to how the AJAX option in EDD works, it prevents Leadin from capturing submissions on the forms. In order to allow Leadin to capture submissions on those forms, AJAX would need to be disabled, the same for Fast Secure Contact Form.

At the moment we have been unable to find an alternative but if we are able to work around this in the future we’ll definitely keep you posted.

    Thanks,
    Shay

What a shame! Please, if you ever integrate Leadin with EDD, let us know! πŸ™‚
