Compatibility with WP 4.6/OnePress

I just recently updated to WP 4.6 and installed Page Widgets. I’m using the theme OnePress (free version) and can’t get the page widgets working. I’ve selected the “Customize” option on the page where I want different widgets to show, but no matter where I drag a widget, it won’t stay in the sidebar area to activate. I’m wondering if this is a compatibility issue with WP 4.6 or with OnePress. Any advice is much appreciated!
