    Hi,
    After upgrading to WordPress 5.5 and installing the Enable JQuery Migrate Helper plugin, the plugin reports…

    This page generated the following warnings:
    /wp-content/plugins/wp-ultimate-recipe/js/admin.js: jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated

    I hope you can fix this and provide an update soon!!

    Thanks!

    It’s a warning and shouldn’t actually be causing any problems. I will look into fixing that for the next update though.

    On a side note: is there a specific reason for using our old WP Ultimate Recipe plugin? We have a new recipe plugin called WP Recipe Maker that we recommend for these reasons: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/61-what-about-wp-ultimate-recipe

    I HIGHLY recommend using WP Recipe Maker instead.

    Thanks!
    It had been my understanding that WP 5.5 removed JQuery Migrate… Which could cause problems if a plugin depended on it.
    …And that the Enable JQuery Migrate Helper plugin added JQuery Migrate back in and would announce that a plugin that you were using depended upon JQuery Migrate.
    I have had clients’ site break because of JQuery Migrate being absent.

    Yes, I had seen your recommendation about WP Recipe Maker and it looks really good! However, my client, who has been using WP Ultimate Recipe, has a lot of recipes entered and maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see a mention of being able to import Ultimate Recipe entries into Recipe Maker.

    WP Ultimate Recipe 3.12.9 is compatible with WordPress 5.5 without that helper plugin activated.

    We do have an importer: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/96-import-from-wp-ultimate-recipe

    I really cannot recommend using WP Ultimate Recipe anymore, so I highly recommend your client to switch. It’s more performant, has better SEO and is the future.
