Compatibility with Woocommerce Deposits & Partial Payments plugin

    I’m having an issue possibly between this plugin and the WooCommerce Deposits & Partial Payments by Acowebs. Normally, if someone starts an order by making a deposit instead of paying full price, the order status should change to “Partially Paid”. Right now, it’s changing to “Pending Payment”. This causes it so the customer cannot make any further payment against the order. It looks as though the Stripe by Payment Plugins may be overriding this on deposits and am unsure of how to proceed. Are there any deposit plugins that Stripe by Payment Plugins is compatible with?

    Hi @grupel87

    Can you provide some more information on why you think our plugin is overriding the order’s status?

    The only time the Stripe plugin updates the order status directly is when a payment is authorized rather than captured immediately, or when an asynchronous payment method payment is taken. In both instances, the order’s status is set to on-hold not pending.

    If you look at the order notes what do they say about the order’s status being updated to pending?

    I recommend contacting the developers of your deposits plugin since it’s a premium plugin, and asking them about this issue. I don’t believe it’s related to our Stripe plugin.

    After further review it appears it’s not caused by the plugin. We still are not sure why it’s happening but have ruled out interference from this app. Thank you.
