Our web host is forcing PHP 8.2 in August and the compatibility checker flagged that Wordfence uses get_magic_quotes_gpc() and mysql_errno(), which are removed.

Can you please advise on compatibility with PHP 8.2 so that I can best prepare for the coming update?
    Thank you.

Hi @siteright, thanks for getting in touch.

As a plugin for WordPress, Wordfence mainly adheres to the compatibility of core itself. As you can see, the most up-to-date version of WordPress (6.8) is fully compatible with PHP 8.2: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/references/php-compatibility-and-wordpress-versions/

As a result, Wordfence 8.0.5 is compatible with PHP 8.2. If any deprecation notices are ever shown for functions, they won’t affect your site and we always work towards addressing those over time.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
