I had this plugin installed on six websites, using both Divi and Astra. Updating to the latest version resulted in a fatal error message on every site until I disabled it. The only common thread is all sites are using the latest versions of WordPress.

  • Hi,
I’m experiencing the same issue – after the update: WordPress critical error.
Downgrading the plugin to the previous version temporarily resolved the issue.

After pulling the website on my localhost, with PHP 8.1, disabling all other plugins except Testimonials, and leaving only TwentyTwenty One theme, these are the debug.log results

    Hi,

same here – we did an update to the newest WP Version and both sites had a fatal error. Rolling back was our solution too.

Will there be a fix for this?

    Thanks in advance
    Mikkel

I’m experiencing the same issue and have disabled the plugin for now.

It’s a relief to know it’s not just me, I thought I was going crazy for a few minutes. I had to disable it entirely since I don’t like having older versions of any plugins on our sites.

Given the lack of response I guess I’ll be adding this to the list of abandoned plugins. Shame, I liked this one.

I updated today to 2.6.2 but it hasn’t fixed it.

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string in /var/www/vhosts/xxx/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/testimonial-free/src/Frontend/Helper.php:136, referer: https://xxx/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=spt_testimonial&page=tfree_help

Version 2.6.2 still not working for me as well.
