# Compatibility issue

 * I have been using this great plugin for at least a year now, and have never had
   a problem until tonight.
 * I am now receive this error at the top of my WordPress dashboard:
    “Shortcodes
   Ultimate (Will cause display issues unless option in Settings > Shortcodes Ultimate
   > Settings > Custom formatting > is unchecked.)”
 * I have gone in and unchecked custom formatting, but this message continues to
   appear and I do not see a “dismiss” button.
 * Can you please help?

 * I am also having the same problem. I am not able to “dismiss” this warning. It’s
   very annoying. In my case, it’s very important to have this setting enabled.

 * I saw that this plugin hasn’t been updated in 5 months and that the author doesn’t
   seem to be responding to questions on this board so I bit the bullet and spent
   a day re-working all my pages that used the plugin…
 * Plugin uninstalled and the warning is gone…. it was a good run!
