Compatibility error with php version 8.0

    Since php 8.x thread is closed, I am posting a new topic even if it is a duplicate of other people’s errors. Dreamhost forced an upgrade from php 7.4 to php 8.1 today. When I tried to access the site there were these errors on the front page of the site. I could only downgrade to v8.0 and still the errors occur. Since we use the free version we can’t open a ticket on the main Events Cal site.

    For security purposes I have removed identifiable directory locations but the rest is standard.

    At this time, we do not yet fully support PHP 8.1. However, we are working on making our plugins compatible with PHP 8.1.

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news, the FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING and deprecated PHP functions issues were fixed on Version 6.0.12, improving PHP 8.1 compatibility.

    Please update the plugin to apply that fix in your websites.
