compatability with buddypress messaging

    Hi

    is the plugin compatible with the send and reply capabilities of the buddypress standard messaging system?

    I am trying to use https://mycred.me/store/mycred-bp-charges/ and this works with standard buddypress messaging to charge for replies and sending a mesaging and restricting messaging if you run out of points.

    This does not work with bp better messages,

    Did you change the send / reply capabilites for the standard buddypress messaging system?

    Is it compatible with all buddypress messaging plugins?

    for example buddyboss the biggest buddypress theme plugin can now restrict messaging based on role, and bnp messages plugin can also restric send / reply based on role. Wouldn’t these two clash. which overrides the other?

    fyi – the plugin does not work with mycred-buddpress-addons but when i deactivate it works

    as you can see in changelog here they just added buddyboss support in latest version.

    this mean they are not using default buddypress function to restrict messages.

    Sorry – i have tested mycred with buddypress and buddybuss it works and it restricts messages. when i enable bp-better messages the messages do not restrict and no points are deducted. so this test means mycred works with buddypress and buddyboss but bp better messages does not. so my suggestion is that the send and reply capabilites are different under buddypress messaging vs bp better messages

    Hi there!

    It using different endpoint but same functions and hooks. the problem is my cred plugin not following wordpress standards to hooks into messages system.

    but in latest version I make them compatible

    fyi are you aware buddyboss is buidling their own live messaging plugin? you will have competition soon! 🙂
