Compact Lightbox does not appear in narrow width grid

I’m trying to use the Unite gallery via a shortcode within a vertically aligned grid.

The width of the box containing the gallery is around 100px.

Only when I increase the width to 481px and above, does the compact lightbox work. I am forced to use the wide lightbox, even though I am using a desktop browser.

You seem to be checking the width of the container that wraps the gallery and then deciding if a wide lightbox should appear or a compact one.

Instead, could you update the code to check the whole viewport width and then decide if the compact lightbox is shown or not?

Otherwise, could you let me know the best alternative?
