Como cambio el color de cuadro de imagenes

    hola, necesito saber como cambio el color del cuadro cuando inserto una imagen, el color del cuadro por defecto es negro y no me gusta tan oscuro, quiero cambiarlo a un color #EEEEEE aprovechando también como cambio el color de fondo (cuando uno pone encima el puntero del mouse), quisiera un color #D6D6D6 aproximadamente.
