Community Use

Hi folks,

I’m trying to be new and inventive with software on my site, and I thought that wordpress would make a great feature for people being able to write their own articles for the site. It’s a local community site and I was envisaging local community members and people outwith being able to write about whatever they wanted.

It would be nice to be able to set various permissions such as certain users only being able to post in certain categories given their permissions levels or something like this.

It doesn’t seem possible just now.

Something like this might be better suited for wordpress mu which is what wordpress.com uses, might be worth a look.
